Hey, I am really getting behind on my blog, only one entry so far. Its been pretty mad here so haven't had time to get on the computer after all whenever we get a spare minute we end up napping in the dorm so far anything past 9pm is seen as a late night! Anyway we went into Sydney on monday for a walk through the Botanical Gardens where there are fruit bags hanging out in the trees. It was then onto the harbour to see the opera house and bridge. Its amazing to see it at last although the opera house isn't as white as in the photos, some retouching much go on! After posing 19 times for the same photo we went down to the harbour to board a jet boat. We had the option of wearing a gorgeous red poncho or brave it and face the consequences and get soaked. All but 4 braved getting wet. I have never laughed and scremed so much it was hilarious, we all got proper wet through. It was quite difficult to see at times when you got hit right in the face with salt water.
Yesterday it was raining and cold which was annoying cos it was our day to go for a surf lesson. We were driven to this private beach by the most stereotypical surf dudes you could ever meet. They drove like maniacs over the sand dunes in the 4wd. I can't begin to describe how cold it was on the beach, any sane person would not have been on the beach in that weather. We had to just get on with it and after a quick lesson it was on with the wet suits and into the water. I managed to stand up once before falling in. We didn't last long in the sea, it was exhausting and freezing at the same time. Getting changed was a right palava, trying to huddle behind a trailer and keep your dignity at the same time.
We went on the so called party bus to The Gaff for a night out, basically a graffited bus with just the radio turned up loud! It was a fab bar, and because we all got free drinks everyone was pretty happy.
