Today we checked out of the hotel in Disneyland and checked in to the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong. I got a toy Ram (goat) from the hotel because it is year of the goat. We looked at the room which was at the top level on the 18th floor.
While we were in Kowloon we did lots of walking, we went for a walk to harbour city ( shopping centre) and many other shopping centres. We went to the symphony of lights, when we got there we met some people who were from Heathmont. The symphony of lights is a light show which they project pictures on to the buildings of Hong Kong Island.
In our hotel room, they gave us a smartphone so we could phone Australia for free. We called my poppa and talked for a long time.
We did lots of swimming in the rooftop pool. bathers on so we could go in the pool.
We walked to Mongkok which is about 3km away so dad could have a look at a computer and electronics store. We went to the ladies market (not just for ladies) and the Temple street night market.
Today we checked out of the Intercontinental grand Stanford hotel and went in the taxi to the Pullman hotel. Jessie, Nanna and I went to the park across the road and sat down and had a rest. Jess and I went to the playground. We went for a walk to explore the city on the island. We went back to the hotel to see my aunty who was working in Hong Kong. We went on the rooftop deck of the hotel and had a chat with her. While in Hong Kong I tasted many kinds of food. I tried rice noodles, hainese chicken and rice, dumplings, vegetables and bakery items.
We went on a double decker tram which is open at the top to Admirlty and we walked around. We went to Hong Kong park and walked through the gardens looking at the water features and the fish/ turtles in the pond.
We went to Stanley on a mini bus and went to the market. We caught a double decker bus back to the city and then we caught the MTR (train) to Tai Koo and walked around a residential area.
We walked to Wan Chai to look at some shops, then we went to Central on the MTR and walked to the Pier for the ferry terminal. We caught the MTR back to Admiralty for dinner and another walk through Hong Kong Park. We caught the open tram back to the hotel when it was 9pm and it was still 30degrees!

Sally Cole Hi Laura, another busy time for you all I see. You went to a lot of places and Pa and I went to when we were there a couple of years ago. I really liked the symphony of lights and the markets. The double decker tram was great too. Love Nanny Cole. xx
