We are currently on our way down to Perth from Broome, we hired a car there along with another couple, Sarah and Paul. We are planning on taking about 10 days in total to get to Perth. We spent most of the first day on the road and stopped overnight at Cossack, a historical town with hardly anyone living there, I think we probably at least doubled the population when we arrived! The hostel we stayed at was pretty good though. The next morning we hit the road again and headed for Exmouth, where we arrived around lunch time. We spent the next day driving around the sights and went to a beach called Turquoise Bay which is absolutely beautiful. It is the best beach I have ever seen and when we arrived we were the only people there. The next day Sarah and Paul went out on a boat trip but we just decided to go back to Turquoise Bay and relax and do some snorkelling over the reef. We also saw some turtles at another beach nearby. Our next stop was Coral Bay where we spent two nights, it is a really nice little tourist town on the coast, again with a really nice beach. We went on a sea kayaking and snorkelling trip there which was really good, the kayaking was pretty hard work as it was really windy but it was worth it to get out to the reef and do some snorkelling. We saw loads of turtles out there and they were swimming right beside us.Another 5 hours drive down the coast is Monkey Mia where we are at the minute. On the night that we arrived here we went out on a sundown cruise, which was really relaxing and romantic. Yesterday, we got up early to go down to the beach and see the dolphin feeding. The dolphins come in about three times in the mornings to get fed, the first feeding was really busy and there were loads of people about so we didn't get to feed them ourselves. We went back a couple of hours later though and the dolphins had come back in and we got the chance to feed them this time as there was hardly anyone else around. In the afternoon, we went back out on the boat for a wildlife cruise where we saw lots of dugongs, some dolphins and a tiger shark. We are leaving Monkey Mia this morning to go to Kalbari National Park where we are staying for two nights before heading to Perth. That's all for now!
