G'day mate!!
Sorry but this is going to be another quick blog because the prices of the internet (as well as food and accomodation) are rather crippling here! OK so what can we say about Adelaide, well not alot really theres not much going on here! Its a really small and quiet city thats very pretty with lots and lots of parks. The hostel we are staying in is really friendly and relaxed which is great (and they give us free pancakes for breakfast, well when we get up in time any way). We have spent our days wondering around the free museum and art gallery which were both really cool and we also visiting the national wine centre (dissapointinly there was no tasting) and the botanical gardens, which to be honest were abit boring. On our last day (we've spent a grand total of three days here) we went to Glenelg, which is the seaside town. This was pretty and we even found a shop selling loads of British sweets (too expensive to buy though so we just took a photo of the shop window!). We spent a little bit too much time in the sun though because Claire has become a rather raw, red colour especially on her legs (her own fault for not putting suncream on them!). Needless to say we have decided to leave Adelaide in search of civilisation and so are heading on the overnight bus to Melbourne.
We are still having a lovely time and we are enjoying Australia more and more everyday (the first day we landed, in the rain, we seriously considered changing our flights to visit the North of Thailand but the lack of visa and anti malarials put pay to that plan). We promise we will stop being stingy and write a proper blog with photos from Melbourne but because of the prices of the net and the fact we are spending far too much time in internet cafes instead of exploring we will probably only be doing a blog around once a week but please still keep in touch with us cos we really like getting messages from home. Keep in touch and take care xxx
