Hello, so left Carmen in Honduras yesterday. Spent a week hanging out and having some fun. Met some lovely people but the time came to move on again. I arrived late in Nicaragua yesterday and stayed in a little town close to the boarder. Today I`m in the pretty colonial city of Granada on the edge of lake Nicaragua. Tomorrow I`m off to spend a couple of days on Isla Ometepe, a large island on the lake consisting of two volcanos, one active one dormant, and lots of unspoilt forests and beaches. Lake Nic is the largest in Central America. It`s so big there is very little distance between its shores and the two coasts on either side. Because of this there are actually sharks in the lake. Bullsharks who have adapted to living in freshwater... very fascinating but means I still have shark fear even when lake swimming!
Anyway, more soon.
