I struck lucky again, my baggage this time carried by donkeys rather than porters. In fact, our donkeys were very late arriving at the trailhead and so we passed a nervous first few hours tarrying in the hope that they would catch us up (otherwise we faced a long trek back to civilization and shelter for the night). Thankfully they caught us late in the day: panic over!
