On the 24th we arrived in Lima. We left Manaus at 1am in the morning and didn't arrive in Lima until 1pm so it was a lot of travelling! When we got to our hostel in Lima, we looked around the local area we were staying in (Mira Flores) and went to one of the local markets. We then ate dinner out and stopped at the supermarket on the way back to the hostel to pick up food for the next two days. We got back to the hostel and chilled and ended up going to bed really early because we were so tired!

The next day we had a surfing lesson at 10am. It was so much fun, I managed to stand up on the board quite a few times but by the end of the lesson the waves were getting so strong and I got wiped out and dragged under water a couple of times which was very scary! For the rest of the day we sunbathed on the beach and also got very burnt! We cooked dinner at the hostel and booked our flight to Cusco for Saturday.

The next day we did a city walking tour around downtown Lima and learnt a lot about the history. We tried the local alcohol called pisco which was actually quite nice! After the tour we walked around the town for a bit and went back to one of the markets to look around. After we got the bus back to Mira Flores and went back to our hostel and cooked dinner. In the evening Kerry went on a night out with a few other people but I was feeling and then actually was sick so went to bed!

The following day we caught our flight in the morning to Cusco.
