We stopped just before Daley Waters to camp for the night, we found a site off the road and had a fire. During the night we heard some strange noises, we think it was dingoes. Mum thought she heard footsteps on the mats outside our door, maybe it was a dingo. We got up early and kept moving towards Darwin.

Today we drove and then camped at the Devil's Marbles. on the way we stopped at Barrow Creek where there is the old telegraph. It ran from Adelaide all the way to the top of Australia and then to England under the water. Today we went into Alice Springs, it was really cold and windy. We drove up to ANZAC Hill and looked at the signs about the different wars Australians have been involved in. We went to a camping shop and Dad got a new sleeping bag, then we did food shopping because we were moving out in the morning. We went back and played with Joseph and made some new friends named Charlie and Ellie, they all come from Darwin.

Today we drove out to the MacDonnell Ranges, first we stopped at Flynn's grave, he was the man who helped start the RFDS, royal flying doctor's service. Today we arrived at Alice Springs, we drove beside the Todd River, which is pretty much always dry, Nana said they have a boat race there where the boats are made of bottles or cans and they run along the river bed.
