We drove to Smithfield station to get on the skyrail. It is like being at the snow and traveling in a pod to the top of the mountain. We stopped two times and got off to do some walks and lookouts of the Barron Falls. When the pod left the station it would shoot out really quick and we would all scream out Charlotte was so excited. This morning we got up and drove for about an hour to the Daintree National Park. We had to go on a ferry to cross the river and then we drove to one of the lookouts where you can see the mouth of the river. After we drove to Cape Tribulation where the rainforest meets the sea. We drove into Normanton today, it's a place that Burke & Wills travelled to when they went across Australia. When we were there we went a park with a giant crocodile statue. When we read about it, it said a lady crocodile hunter shot it and the statue was based on the measurements, it was 8.63 metres long and really scary, like a real monster.
