Cusco is a beautiful city! Very touristy with all the modern comforts as its the main route to get to Machu Picchu. It had such a great atmosphere, we loved it there!
Every meal we had we loved. Our first brekky was at this cafe owned by an Aussie and it was awesome, the best coffee of the trip - felt like we were back in Melbourne. We also had dinner at this great place called Inka Grill, it had great Quinoa & Trout. Cusco definitely won us over with the food.
We also ran into witnesses once again. We were in Starbucks overlooking the town square and this couple came an sat next to us who were holding what looked like a watchtower. We finally
plucked up the courage to ask and it turned out they were from the States and had just moved to Cusco to serve where the need was greater. So we organized to meet up with them the following day and go to the meeting.
The congregation was huge that we went to. They had 30regular pioneers with the youngest being a 13yr old boy.. So cute! Everyone was super lovely - we even got an invite for dinner once we returned from the inca trail.
We really enjoyed our few days in Cusco but the thought of the Inca Trail was always in the back of our mind!
