After a very nasty scare in Barcelona about 40 years ago, I was never quite sure I wanted to come back, but very glad I did and looking forward to another visit just before we fly home. It's a very beautiful city and the people this time around have been really friendly and helpful.
On Monday, encouraged by a couple we met on the plane, we went with them to the Barcelona football stadium ( even Lionel was impressed, especially when he discovered that Barcelona's Messi is also named Lionel!). Huge stadium that holds 100,000. It was a fun way to pass a rainy day in Barcelona.
Yesterday didn't get above 10 degrees and sitting on the top of the Hop On Hop Off bus was very chilly indeed. Visited the Segrada Famillia cathedral yesterday. Beautiful unfinished example of Gaudi's work. It is not expected to be finished for another 100 years!
Went to a great club not far from our hotel last night. Flamenco dancing and guitars last night were fabulous! We'll be back in Barcelona before we fly home so have a list of places still to go to.
