With bus travel being so cheap here (6 dollars per person for a 10 hour bus journey) we hedged our bets and bought a bus ticket all the way to Nha Trang with the idea that if we liked the look of Mui Ne half way along the route and we could find a room we would get off. Turned out it was a great bet as Mui Ne looked too quiet with 5 star "resort" type places all lined up along the beach - not our cup of tea at all.
Arrived in Nha Trang which is Vietnam's beach capital and according to the guidebooks going in a Costa del Vietnam type direction. We both thought it was actually very quiet and grown up with most bars closing at 11pm. Hired a little 100cc scooter and cruised around for the day trying to find something to do. Kym had a go on her own around a big carpark and was all smiles. She even did one lap with me on the back. A little later I encouraged her to ride the bike with me on the back for a couple of miles on the open road and it turned out to be an excellent way to get a thirst for a couple of pints of beer each!!
Next day we did a cheapy 4 island trip that turned out to moor off two islands to do some snorkelling and then lunch before actually setting foot on the remaining two islands and paying for the priviledge!
Having a chilled-out day today. Started off with a full English breakfast (Costa del Vietnam and all that) and visted a couple of bars while we are waiting for the 13 hour nightbus to Hoi An.
