After a week and a bit in the Cape Tribulation rainforest area we dropped south to Cairns where we met up with the Irish couple again and got absolutely slaughtered downtown in celebration of Kym's birthday. After our marathon journey we came into an area called The Tablelands and the scenery changed from the typical Outback monotony to err... Wales! Loadsa rolling green hills and black and white cows - very surreal. In between these Welsh bits was wonderful waterfalls and our first view of the Pacific in quite awhile. Tue 17 Jul - Drove the car to the Eaglerider depot and picked up the Harley. Turns out to be the shiniest, biggest, whiteist, gayist Harley ever - cool! Leave excess baggage with the bike shop (and keeping Kym) we drop off the car with Alamo and ride out of town through Malibu.
