Our journey began at 4:30 yesterday afternoon (Madison time), and 14 hours later we have arrived in London!
It's 12:30 in London, which means it's only 6:30 back in La Crosse and Madison. We left Chicago last night at 10:30, and it took us about 7 hours to get here. Everything is going well so far... Our flight for Accra, Ghana leaves two hours from now, so we have some time to kill. The first flight was great for spending so much time in that plane... there were some meals served, and we each had a small TV in front of us so we could choose what we wanted to watch. So that made time go a little faster... I probably got about two and a half hours of sleep, so I imagine I'll be pretty tired later tonight!
The flight from London to Accra is about the same length as our first one... We'll touch down there at 9:30 London time (3:30 in the U.S.), and it will really be 8:30 at night in Ghana... so, the whole time thing is kind of confusing!
I'm hoping we'll be picked up at the airport by the owner of the hostel we're staying at... if that happens, and our luggage arrives with us, we will be set to go! Then we have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to see Accra before meeting up with everyone else at orientation.
Well, that's all for now. Hope all is well back in the U.S., as I'm sure most of you are still sleeping...
