Alternating between sleeping, eating, watching TV and playing games, we completed the final leg of our flight home to Melbourne. Aaaaand after 7 months of diligent blog-writing, this is where I decided to ditch my writing efforts?! Another probably two sentences and it would have been done! :P So anyway, we got in to the airport, then made our way down to the baggage claim to wait for our bags and guitars with our fingers crossed. I contacted Tiana using the airports free wifi, an found out she was waiting excitedly on the other side of the customs fence, so I had to wait for the bags before I got to see her! We waited. Then waited. And waited some more. There was some screw up with the baggage and we ended up having to wait about an hour or more, then even longer for the guitars, which was so frustrating with my little big sister on the other side of the wall! But eventually everything came out, and nothing was damaged and we headed through customs and there waiting at the end of the barrier was my sister! We drove the hour and a bit trip out to mum and dads place in Ocean Grove, where we were reunited with the rest of the clan, and I can't remember much more of the finer details, but it was the most perfect Australian summers day. Welcome home. :)
