We arrived in Bangkok! After a very long day flying we decided to have a much needed nap so that we could then explore the local area. First impressions...it's very hot! But also everyone is very friendly and welcoming :)
Within a few minutes of walking we came across a canal and little bridge and on the other side was a local temple which had a food and clothes market within its car park. We had a look around and kept walking through the nearby streets. On our way back we went into the temple which was amazing and had a massive Buddha inside. You have to take your shoes off before entering the temple and women also have to cover their shoulders and legs, so luckily I was wearing trousers!
As it had been a long day we decided to get an early night as we had to catch another plane to Chiangmai in the morning :)
