Hello Everyone!

I just got back from a long weekend in Ireland. It was a really fun trip but very exhausting!! We left school after our British Studies exam on Wednesday and caught a ferry to Ireland at 2:30 a.m. We rode the ferry overnight, and arrived in Ireland early in the morning. I was then treated to a traditional English breakfest, but I only ate what I could identify! I then went to Blarney Castle, and kissed the Blarney Stone! After kissing the stone, I went around the surrounding park and looked the grounds. We ended up at Killarney that night.

The next day, we went on the Ring of Kerry tour. The sights were really beautiful! It was a really fun day! We saw a lot of green pastures, and I even got to touch the Irish Sea!! I went back to the hotel and relaxed after a long, but great day. The next day, we got up early and headed to Dublin. Dublin was a great city, but I didn't get there until later. I was able to visit the Guiness Storehouse, but was able to finish my complimentary pint!! Oh well!! At night, we went and saw the Half-Penny bridge and St. Patricks Cathedral at night! It's always neat to see landmarks lit up at night! The following day we headed back to Harlaxton!

It was a really great trip filled with new adventures! Next weekend, I'm off to Wales!! Until next time--Katherine
