Today was Diwali and it was the busiest day of the year! We headed out early and got taken to the Agra Fort and then to the Taj mahal! They both were really impressive but the Taj Mahal was absolutely beautiful. Although we didn't get to enjoy it too much as we were like celebrities and everyone wanted photos with the 'White girls'! Kate and Sarah were in their traditional dress and they must have had at least 50 photos with the locals! We had to say no in the end otherwise we would haven't seen inside! Afterwards all the girls from the group stopped off and we all got Sari's for the celebration! We arrived at the restaurant and the amount of stares we got from the middle age women was ridiculous. I think people forgot that they were in India on Diwali and that they should get into the spirit of things! The Indian men were very happy and said that it was a real compliment that we have embraced their culture! After a night of Kingfisher beer and a very dangerous Firework display we headed back to the hotel.
