Well yet again its been a while since we last wrote, and no surprise we have done alot. We are now in Singapore flying out to OZ this evening, so this is our last Asia update.

From Penang we wanted to head to the Perhentain island, setting out at 5am for a 7 hours journey, after 5hours we arrived back at the Thai border, yes our driver had taken the wrong turning out of penang meaning 200km in the wrong direction. eventually after returning to penang we set out on the right road, UNFORTUNATELY it was the worst journey of our lives, worse than the bad experiences in vietnam, and thats saying something, but we're still alive and able to write this blog!

the Perhentain islands were incredible- beautiful weather, beaches and chilled out atmosphere, however sitting relaxed on beach is not our style so we went for a mini trek through the rainforest (intending to get to the other bay 15min walk away) a couple of hours later we'd walked through up and down river, and met the hughest lizard ever, but KTs scream ensured he moved off our path and ran away- this technique didnt work however with the ants- who bit our feet and the mosquitos had a banquet thanks to us!

we also went snorkelling- seeing lots of fish corals sharks and best of all swimming with turtles, the downside was the highest point out of the water got burnt- yes sitting down hurt for a few days!

we had a very chilled full moon party- consisting of a beer on the beach watch the moon and stars.

we moved on to the Cameron highlands- famous for its tea planations and strawberry farms- didnt spend much more time there.

KL was alot of fun- venturing to the water and extreme parks- the city itself was mind blowing- the patrona towers were very impressive especially at night, even at the bridge level the view of KL was amazing. KL was very social place meeting people from home- and experiencing its nightlife to the extreme, so now in singapore its seems more relaxed.

visiting the zoo (the best zoo in the world) with a 7 year old is tiring but so much fun, both of us have caught up with family and friends from home making it seem unreal that we're so far away however tonight we fly even further away, OZ here we come
