Things appeared to have imporved this morning the sun was shining and it seemed to be a perfect day. We went on a snorkelling boat trip around some other little islands and stopped for lunch. To be honest the snorkelling was poor as the night before had been rainy so the water was really murky. We got back to the island and sooz went off on the internet in town so i decided to try to speak to the folks! I got some bad news on the phone about my great auntie barbara which really knocked me for six, i was pretty upsetand it was really hard to take in a strange place,without even sooz for company. To be honest i felt like crap, we went out for some pizza and i tried to take my mind off things,we decided to go and have a drink in next doors hostel after all the bad happening the last two days i was ready for a drink! I didnt have much money so opted to invent my own cocktailto rival the caiprihini,i made a capbeerhini, made of beer, crushedlime and ice, with a straw of course! We ended up chatting to someother guys and had a good evening which helped take my mind of things slightly! We went to bed about 2am. I woke up in the night and our mixed dorm of 9 people was quiet, as i opened my eyes i saw a man sat on the end of my bed!!!!! bearing inmind i was on the bottom of a bunk bed, with three other beds between me and the door to the dorm,and i was sleeping just with a sheet over me, you can imagine how i jumped with fright. It was the wierdest thing which has ever happened to me,i was pretty scared, and everyone else was asleep, this guy was definately not one of the men in our dorm!As i woke up and jumped out of my skin i said s*** (sorry to swear) he justlooked at me and said oo sorry in a foreign accent really calmly!!!! He didnt make any attempt tomove and continued sitting there!I freaked,and was like what are you doing???? he said something about his number?? god only knows what he thought he was doing sat on a 22yr old females bed in the middle of the night,anyways as he just sat there calmly i got more freaked out and pissed off and told him to leave, he conintued sitting so i jus sat up and said i think you should f*** off, f*** off! To which he calmly stood up and walked out! Buggar me i was scared! What a wierdo! Needless to say i wasnt enjoying the ilha grande experience very much! I stuggled sleeping the rest of the night as i thought he might come back but finally fell asleep.
