Hi everyone, We are on our last day in beautiful Nha Trang and have had a pretty cool 5 day beach holiday here. It's a really touristy beach resort but we were ready for a bit of that. We've spent most of our time on the beach in the day and drinking on the night time, but fitted in a few trips. We went to some mineral mud baths one day which was really funny. You sit in a big bath of mud for a while, then let it dry on your skin and then wash it off and it's supposed to have healing qualities. Neither of us feels very healed but it was fun wallowing in mud! We also went on a boat tour of the islands around Nha Trang. Krys was really ill all day (sunstroke from the previous day we think) and spent the day trying to get warm and to not move too much. The snorkelling around one of the islands was amazing- bright fish and coral. The staff on the boat put on a show where they became a boy band and sang random songs from each nationality on the boat. There is a saying in Asia which all the locals use- 'same same, but different', and when someone said they were from russia he said ah yes, like Italy, same same, but different and so sang an italian song for the russians! Really bizarre. The best bit of the day was a free floating bar. You swam up to the man and he gave you red wine to sit in a rubber ring in the sea and drink. It was obvious how ill Krys was when he didn't participate in this! He was gutted. The bars here are really nice so we need to move on and detox and save money so we are moving on to a place called Hoi An a bit further north tonight- got a 12 hour train journey ahead of us! lots of love T and K x
