Krys & Toni's World Adventure
Hello Everyone,
Had a very busy week again continuing down the east coast. After the Whitsundays we travelled to a palce called the town of 1770. That really was it's name. It's where Captain Cook landed I think. Wasn't much there apart from some big pelicans really!
Main thing we did in Hervey Bay was whale watching, which was sooooo good. Saw loads of humpback whales. They came really close to the boat and were MASSIVE! About 15 metres long.
We also went to Franser Island. It's the biggest sand dune island in the world I think, and you drive round it in a four by four. Unfortuntely it rained for most of the 3 days we were there so a lot of the attractions weren't so good. However, we were with a really good group of people which made it fun anyway. Spent our days devising league tables for card games and drinking games. However, some of the island was really pretty, including lake mckensie, which was turquise blue then turned almost black cos of a sudden deep bit. Went swimming in the lake duiring a torrential down poor which was fun.
Today we are in Noosa, which is a pretty little beach town. I had a surfing lesson today which was fantastic- I stood up lots of times and everything! Krys is going to have a go when we get to the gold coast I think. Thought I wouldn't be able to do it as my balance is really bad, but looked like Kelly Slater by the end I think!
lots of love,
Toni and Krys
