Hello! Well I have finally found some sunshine! yay!!!!!! my tan is getting better everyday .............as is my birds nest hair! how do some girls manage to get that surfer chick look whilst i have one giant knot on my head?!!! oh well!!! Anyway we started the week on the bus with the funniest driver ever. He introduced himself by announcing ' Hi im trevor and i'm crazy, crazy stuff always happens to me!' well...................he was certainly something but i think schizophrenic could be a better word! The first day was alot of driving although we did stop to see the Pinnacles..............big rocks in the middle of the desert! We arrived in Kalbarri in the eve where we had a special deal on a seafood dinner. I tasted mussels for the first time ever and i loved them!!!! cant believe i have been missing out for so long!!! We spent the rest of the eve sitting round a fire letting Trevor tell us about how he has seen ghosts! When i got back to the hostel i bumped into a guy i had met in the cook islands! anyone who read my jounal back then will know my mossie bite history!.................so anyway all i heard is this big voice saying 'its the infected mosquito bite girl'!............ always a nice way to be remembered hey!!!!!! 9th August Had to get up at 6.30am to go to the national park! This would have been ok except i had been drinking 'goon' all night (cheap wine from a box!...........oz equivalent of white lightning!) The national park was amazing and we had a brilliant walk down into the gorge. It was so nice to sit by the river..................and hearing the river just brought back all my good memories from river valley (new zealand)! It was back on the bus where pretty much everyone had there own seat and was fast asleep. The one good thing is that Trevor had no-one to talk to...................he never stops otherwise! We had a brief stop at the Stromatolites which are rocks that basically made it possible for life to exist on earth! These rocks used to cover nearly the whole planet........The bacteria on the rocks created the oxygen which allowed plants to grow etc.........which all led to the formation of the atmosphere we have today! Spent the evening having a BBQ with Trevor telling us how he has seen aliens!
