hi everyone! well..................only 2 weeks to go till i leave coral bay! im excited but at the same time i dont really want to leave! Yesterday we said goodbye to JC and Zara, they have been here for 18 months.............it was so sad to see them go as you get so used to seeing the same people everyday then suddenly they are gone! anyway, the next 2 weeks are going to fly by as we have entered the australian 'school holidays'! the once peaceful and relaxing coral bay has become one big playpen! there are children everywhere and you can no longer see the sea due to the amount of 'blow-up' toys on the water! i can't complain though as it means more hours work so lots more cash!!!! anyway, since i last wrote i have seen sleeping turtles....they are soooo cute! they wedge their flippers under the coral to stop themselves drifting away and then they use the coral like a little pillow! it has been one of my snorkelling highlights so far!!! have been scuba diving a couple of times too!..............was a bit scary after all this time but i can't wait to do some more on the great barrier reef! one morning i came down to fins cafe for my bacon sandwich and who was sitting there with my sis.......JANINE! It was so good to see her even though she was only around for a few days! That called for an awesome beach party where we lit loads of candles for Steve Irwin...................and got really drunk! For some reason we all ended up taking a visit to the town 'tip'. im not sure why.....................our friend macca is convinced its full of hidden treasures! ....it just smelt like fish to me! I have had my 1st go on a jet-ski too!! Its such good fun but only when you drive it yourself! I had a ride across the bay on the back at first............................we were going at 75k's and i actually thought i was going to die! these things go fast! tiff was a pro.................she looked like she had been riding one her whole life! the last few days have involved too much drinking! 1st we had tiffs 21st birthday.............. we all headed off on the quads to oyster bridge ( a small snorkelling spot) for the day with a few beers in the eskey! on the way baxk our car got bogged though! there was one guy and three girls in the car..................so not much hope of getting it out! with nick desperately digging the tyres out before the tide came in the girls got to work..................on the tequila slammers!!!!! luckily we were saved by a load of tourists on the sunset quad bike tour!!!! well after all that it was time to get up to the pub for the party! it was my 1st night off in ages and it showed! i am officially a 'super' light-weight! we had a great time dancing to the band and then on to the beach to carry on the party! by this time none of us were capable of taking any pics for you guys!...........sorry! the next day was the AFL finals..............west coast eagles (thats us) vs sydney swans! everyone was off work and up at the pub.......................and we actually won!...........................which unfortunately meant everyone in town wanted to celebrate with a meal in my restaurant! I worked the busiest night i have ever seen!!!! well i have to go but i hope yu are all well? i will update you again in a couple of weeks when im back on the road! take care, love kristyxxxxxxxxxxxx
