hello everyone!

well im back from Fraser Island and i'm now chilling out for the night in a place called Rainbow beach! Its such a cool hostel and i finally feel like i have reached the australia we all imagine with huge surf beaches and heaps of dodgy blonde lifeguards in speedos!!!! ha ha!!

Anyway Fraser Island was awesome although I had a bit of a boring group in my van and they were whinging about everything!!! Being old does have some benefits though! ...................I got to drive the 4wd van all weekend!!! It was like rally driving as its all sand tracks and beach driving! I loved it but we did nearly get bogged a couple of times! Lucky i had some practice driving these huge cars on the farm or i would have been soooo scared!

The island is amazing and i have to get my photos on the site for you asap! I saw my first dingo too! There are signs everywhere saying keep your children close etc and dont go to the toilet alone or you could get eaten by a dingo! Its crazy!!! Camping was fun and after the kimberleys camping trip i thought i was a bit of an old hand..............until my tent managed to fall down 3 times in 1 night! whoops!!! Luckily we were usually camping with a few other groups on the beach so in the eves there was plenty going on. In fact i met a girl form holland who introduced me to something i have never seen before................its a paper cone that girls use to pee standing up!!! its the funniest thing i have ever seen but i dont think i will be following that trend anytime soon!

well im off to noosa heads tomorrow where im going to visit steve irwins zoo and try and do some surfing! there is a job going in the hostel reception in 2 weeks so if i like it here i might stay for a while...........we will see!
