Hello!

Finally we've got internet without having to pay a fortune, thanks to my lovely second cousin and her family here in San Diego. Sorry for not updating the blog until now, but it was very limited access in Rarotonga and we've had trouble finding the time here in usa until now.

Well, I don't think i need to tell you but Cook Islands were really paradise as you'll soon see on the pictures I'm working on uploading as we speak. We met some great people at our hostel, which was by far the most friendly and personal hostel that we've ever stayed in. Had some good nights out but mostly relaxing on the beach. We rented some snorkel equipment one day and it was amazing.

Then we went over to LA where we stayed a bit outside down town at a place called Adventure Hotel in a 20 bed dorm (not as bad as you might think) and did the LA city tour with Hollywood. Then finished the day at Universal studios where we went on the new simpson ride, jurassic park ride, got to see how they make special effects and lots more stuff. We then booked two nights at the Wild wild West Hotel and Casino in Vegas after three nights in LA. Bus took about 6hrs i think. Vegas was definatly impressing and what i found was the most fun about the whole experience is that even if you only have a few dollars (like us) and walk into any casino, you get the same royal treatment as anyone playing with thousands! The waitresses come to you and take drink orders and if you want you can give them a dollar for tips. I see a good night coming!:)

We did have a gamble but unfortunatly it didn't make much difference in the bank... Good fun though! And then we decided to hire a car after the two nights to get us down to San Diego and do the Grand Canyon on the way. Brilliant idea, eccept for the fact that Nascar was in town and all the cars was already rented out and the few they had left was something like 100 usd per day!!! Not really what we could afford, and we could't stay in Vegas for the weekend either since they tripple the price of the room probably because of Nascar again (we officially HATE Nascar!!).

So we went down to San Diego a few days ago on the reliable Greyhound bus to be greated with a pick up at the station and a hot meal waiting for us when we got home. I'm loving it here and i'm so happy to catch up with some family. They have really showed us such a good time despite their busy lives so we're so greatful. They took us to "the house of blues" today where they served a traditional south western buffet followed by amazing gospel music (I'll try and download a video of that) and straight from that we went to Kristians boss surprise birthday party where there was unlimited margaritas and a mexican buffet (big foodbaby today) where we also got to meet most of their friends which was nice. I think me and Jason being there was almost the biggest surprise element though!:). Tomorrow we're going to the wild life park and then having a Bbq in the evening, and on tuesday me and jason are going on a tour around San Diego on a hop on, hop off bus. Gonna try to force jason into a couple of museums, see how that goes... Then we're off on wednesday on the 17hr busride to El Paso to Fly over to Miami to my other second cousin that i'm so excited to see again!!

Anyway it's getting late and i'm looking forward to getting in our comfortable bed and having a sleep-in tomorrow so this is it for now. I'm updating the albums asap so keep poppin in to see what's new!

Congratulations to Jemma and Nick for their upcoming wedding in Mexico!!! I bet you guys are so excited and so are we for you!

Till Moster Stefan och trollungarna: Det ar sa roligt att ni skriver och talar om hur ni har det, uppskattar vi valdigt mycket. Jag horde du jobbar och sliter med magsjukan, usch da, men det lar ju ga over nan gang. Du maste halsa alla!! Mamma berattar om barnen och hur Denise springer runt och sjunger och pratar hela tiden :) Det ska bli sa kul att komma hem och forsoka komma ikapp med handelserna. Hoppas pojkarna har ett toppen sportlov och tar det lugnt i backarna, men jag kommer ihag vara stortlopp i byrasen allt! Hoppas ni far halla er friska nu nar ni blivit av med forkyldningarna ocksa. Pussar och Kramar till er fran oss!
