Hellooo to you all once again....not many more of these blogs to come, i have 2 months....ahhhhhhhh!
Anyway, heres one of my second run of the thai islands!!
So Sian and I left Cambodia, headed to Bangkok for 1 night and saw our Jakey!! Then straight off to Phuket...where we were joined by...
1) Sians brother..
and................
2) KARIN!! One of my work mates from Cairns...yay!! Was so lovely to see her!! She has a 3 week holiday in thailand after leaving oz after a year, then she heads home to Sweden, so she joined along with us, which I was most happy about!
So we spent a few days in Phuket, which I wont rave about to much because its not very nice....apart for the super market id nice salads and I saw Alice in Wonderland!! hehe which wa amazing actually! So we all decided to get out of there asap, and get our bums to Phi Phi!! The place Ive been most excited about!!!
So we all got a boat over to the Island, and oh my god.
THANK GOD FOR PHI PHI!
Its not that ive no enjoyed Thailand so far, its just its so so so touristy, and its definatly at the bottom of the pile in countries so far in my travels. But thankgoodness.....phi phi has saved it!!!!
Its the most perfect little gorgeous island. We got bungalows right on the beach...and it was a beeeautiful beach!! The food is delicious, lovely fresh fish, the people are nice, its all backpackers, yay!!! The shopping, is AMAZING!! its all vintage clothe stores!! I got lost for hours in all those shops, not even buying anything I just enjoyed looking at it all! God knows where thwey get there stuff from, I asume austrailia!! So yes, good food, right on the beach, amazing beach, backpackers everywhere, awesome shopping, sun, sea, and parrrty!! yay! Its like my faborite place in the world....hehehe
We stayed there for a week, and had such a brilliant tmie!! Me and Karin got into lots of trouble drinking cocktials, going out, celebrating paddys day, jumping fire ropes!! Doing limbo under fire!! (Abit more difficult than chicken limbo!!!! It was so fnu, and so lovely to be there with Karin too. I also got to meet up with another freind from Cairns and Sydney, NIcky for obne night which was lovely.
Most of our days consisted of having breakfst by te beach, sunbathing..eating fresh corn on the cob....shoppnig in the aftrernon then going out atnight, and drinking buckets!! I lvoed it!! One day though we did do a boat trip aruond loads of islands, Bamboo ilsland which was STUNNING! pure paradise! Monkey island, full of monkeys!! Snorkelling, which im an expert at now!! Seeing old caves....and then lastly, the famous Maya Bay from the film the beach. Which was just stunning. We got there at abuot 4/5ish, so the light was beeeautiful. I adored it!!! Plus it looks just like the film too, its amazing!! WE left aruond sunset, and got to watch the sun go down whilst out onthe water on a longtail...so all in al, a gorgeous day!!!
So we coldnt stay in paradise forever, as it was rather pricey!! So Sian and Kieren went off to KOh Samui for a few days, and me and Karin headed to Koh tao, where ive been befroe with liz!! So i wont go into much detail about the island as you already no it all!! But it ws lovely to be back, and i gave to say - there is relaxing, and then there is total relaxation. Which is what i was the week i was there. I filled my days with having breakfast on the beach...giong to Yoga, readig until lunch on the beach again. A bit of sunbathig...followed by cocktails at sunset at our fav new bar Fizz, dinner by the beach, then out afterwoulds, fire shows, caberet shows, bliss!! Then id do it all again the next day!! I loved every moment of it!! Found a new fuond love for Yoga, and an amzing even better freindship with Karin!! I consumed lots of new yummy cocktials..taken a new lking to ameretto and mangos!! and Musili!!
We did a day trip one day too - to Num yaung Island just by Koh Tao, its 3 islands all joined which you can walk between at low tide. The fishes there were incredible!! I would be in the water u to my knees and i was surroudned by tuna, rainbow fish and who knows what else!! was amazing! We also did this treck up to the top of the island which was fun, and extremely hard in 40 degree heat and flip flops!! But It was a stunning veiw!!
But i had an aazing time!!! And you can probably see in my pics a pic of a teddy!? Im not sure if you know im travelling with one, hes called Bonzo santa cruz..he maks a great teddy on a bus and he was just so dirty. So i decided to wash him with my multia purpous wash!!! Hard work, and he took days to dry but now hes good as new!!!!
Soooooooooo..im now back in Bangkok - off to Chang Mai in a few days, saying goodbyes to Karin and Kieren here, but hopefully getting to See tom from home too.
So good tiems ahead!!
