Ok. You are going to have to ask Shana to show you her photos because the best one I got was this one of her. She got really good photos and all I got was this one of her taking them. Yes the plane lurched and there was queasiness, but a great experience overall and worth the trip. There are trapezoidal, long straight lines all over the coastal desert near Pisco/Ica/Paracas area, also famous for the Pisco Sour. Pisco is a grape brandy and muy sabrosa. There are large line drawings like petroglyphs on the desert floor of animals and an alien (called the astronaut). We flew over in a Cessna. Hummingbirds, condor, parrot, monkey, hands, dog, spider, heron, tree I think were all of them. The images and lines date back to about 2300 years ago. No explanations are for sure, the animals may have been ritual pathways and the lines may have been calendar symbols. Photos to come once I can download her camera card.
