Yasas (Hello) Everyone ! Greetings from Greece. Sorry it's been awhile since my last journal entry, I've been enjoying the down time on the beach too much ! I arrived in Greece a couple days ago. As you will see in my pics, Steph and I enjoyed exploring Athens before coming to the island of Mykonos. We saw the Acropolis and Parthenon in Athens, although after seeing the Egyptian ruins it was not so spectacular. The entire Parthenon is under construction and there isn't much else left. We spent the rest of our time in Athens shopping, right near our hotel there were streets and streets of tiny shops and tavernas. I tried Greek coffee drink called Frappe Freddie, boy was that strong, I bounced all the way home that night. We also stumbled upon an open air showing of the Opera Carmen, it was great because we got to actually spend time with the locals and didn't even need to know greek because the Opera was all singing and dancing. Yesterday we took a ferry to Mykonos and we'll be spending the next 3 days at the resort before our 3 day cruise of the rest of the islands. We've had a bunch of down time, so I have caught up on my sleep and finally feel human again. I'm also enjoying Greek food, my digestive system is all back to normal now :-) Well speaking of food, I should run, we have an 8:30 dinner reservation, this place is run like college, we have a cafeteria and a swipe card for our expenses.
