It's been a couple of days since I wrote anything but we have found a site with internet access today. We are now on the Coromandel peninsula. We had a day toboggoning down the sand dunes on Tuesday before travelling up to Waiwera where we spent the afternoon in thermal swimming pools which was fantastic. We were also treated to some traditional Mauri singing and a demonstration on the Haka which was a real bonus. We then travelld on to Coromandel where we stayed last night. The beaches here are unbelievable and the weather has been fantastic. We started the day by visiting a water park which was a bit eccentric. It was a bit like a Dali inspired place with some very strange inventions. It was interactive and the kids really enjoyed it. We then stopped briefly at some water falls before having lunch in Whitawera next to the beach. Then we visited Cathedral cove wher the views were brilliant before letting the kids have a paddle in the sea. I have never seen Noah look so happy. He is absolutely loving it here as is Poppy. We then took the short drive to Hot Water beach where we dug pools in the sand and they filled up with incredibally hot water. Noah got covered from head to foot in sand and even started eating it. So today was a really busy one but it would not be complete without are daily dilema. Today I locked the keys in the van and we were unable to pick the locks. However we had left a window open but it was covered with bug netting which Jennie managed to pull away. The window was small and high up but Poppy was a willing volunteer to save us. So I lifted her up and she crawled through the window and balanced on Noah's car seat before picking up the keys and passing them to me. She thought this was great and wants to do it every day. I hope she dosen't need to do it again. That's it for today. We will be heading further south tomorrow as we are looking to get to Rotarua on Monday or Tuesday.
