Well, I'm here! After nearly 24 hours of flying, I'm pretty beat. All of my flights were on time and my luggage made it in one piece, so I don't have much cause to complain.

The overseas flight from Philadelphia to Athens was pretty hellish. Nearly 12 hours on a very cramped plane with squalling children kicking my seat from behind while an old Greek couple decided to shout-talk at each other in front of me the entire flight, including while people were trying to sleep. The TV was broken and the bathrooms grew increasingly disgusting. I should have listened to the people who warned me about that flight. Never again.

However, the weather here in Athens is beautiful! 75 degrees and sunny. I was very impressed with the Metro system, which was installed for the 2004 Olympics. It is really convenient and clean. My hostel is immediately adjacent to the Acropolis (I still have yet to take a peek!) and the Metro stop. I couldn't ask for more!
