Hi there,
Yesterday was VERY HOT!!!! After a lovely breakfast we headed out with our tour guide "Trang" to a famous Pagoda via the perfume river ( on a tourist Dragon boat) and then on to the Cittadel. We visited a monestry and I couldn't get over the Novices (young boys) sitting in empty rooms reciting verse over and over. Trang said it was their destiny! Can you imagine no toys, no activities, no possessions....The Cittadel was huge and interesting but the heat was exhausting... it was 37 at about 9:30am! We then visited a couple of Mausoleums. As it is shoulder season here, there are very few tourists, which is nice for us but I can understand that many wouldn't cope with the heat. We returned to the hotel for the avo and had a rest, Phil had a massage in the hotel (remind us to tell you about that when we get home - not what you think but it was offered!) and I got a manicure! We then headed out in cyclo's to a bar for very important rehydrating before coming back to the hotel for a shower then out for dinner! Went to a local recommendation .... noone in the whiole place which made us nervous but it was AWESOME!

Today we are heading to Ha Noi. It is about a 3 hour drive but we are stopping to check out some sights on the way. I am not finding Trang as endearing as Pink! He is pretty full on and when he talks to us he stops walking and I'm like.... in the shade dude...let's keep going!!!! He is with us for the next few days and wants to take us out for dinner ect etc you know the drill. Somehow we will politely explain we like to explore on our own as well too!

Ariana and Reagan...how were your sleepovers? What was it like sleeping in the hall with the other guides Miss A? I bet you are tired today? How was footy Reg? Any goals today?
