Getting ready. Getting anxious about the weather in Northern Spain. Jean and I leave NZ on the 23rd April 2018 and start walking from St Jean Pied de Porte to Orrisson on the 25th April, ANZAC Day.

Leaving now. Some last minute shifting. Starting to relax. Flying with crusaders. It begins.

Further preparation. New short hair cut. Must go for a walk today. Podiatrist put orthotics in my boots as a walk all wrong. Bit late to find out but if it helps me stay the course. Alice's new shift date 22nd and I leave on 21st. However a nice symmetry with just the family on the first night. I have mislaid my credit card but may get a new one before I go. Just for emergencies. Not sleeping very well fear excitement or something else.

Walked back through Spencer forest to Waimaire beach. 7km and seem to be consistently walking at 4.9kph. Will take a day off and do a long walk on Sunday or Monday. Feel really good about my pack wondering if I really need a waterproof jacket.

Alice Tilly and family doing well. Tilly loves sleeping in the hammock during the day and with her mum at night. Kids love to hold her. She is very content. Alice's and family's house move which was to be 15th May looks like it may be delayed. A bit aggravating as I leave on 21st. I am spending time between Alice's and Jenny's. Great to have options.
