Hey everyone, sorry it's been so long. The internet was really expensive at ayers rock so i didn't bother to update the blog.
Ayers rock was good, we went to a viewing point at sunset on the first day, bit cloudy so not that great. The next morning we got up at 5 so that we could drive to the rock in time for sunrise, it was beautiful and i got some fairly decent pics. We made friends with a couple of girls from newquay and spent the whole time with them.
On friday we flew to melbourne and then got a bus to geelong where we were picked up by tim (my half great aunt's husband) and he drove us to their farm in modewarre. Not really a farm more a holiday village for race horses. Di (great aunt) met us there. They are so nice, they really made us feel welcome i just wish we could have spent more time with them.
On the saturday we had a lie in and then helped out a bit at the stables, tim drove us round, intorduced us to some of the horses. We saw some wild kangaroos. They have an adorable jack russle called pippy who was chasing kangaroos. The weather wasn't great so they sent us to the cinema in the afternoon, we saw 'the other boleyn girl'. Then they took us out for a lovely dinner in the evening.
On the sunday, they lent us their car again so that we could drive down the great ocean road, which was beautiful. Unfortunately it decided to rain again so we didn't get out the car at that many beautuy spots. We saw the 12 apostles and london bridge, had a nice lunch in apollo bay. Di said it would save us a lot of time if we went from modewarre rather than melbourne.
We got up early this morning and helped out a bit at the stables and we are getting a train back to melbourne about half 10.
We will hopefully be attending neighbours night tonight and might get to meet dr. kennedy.
Auntie Sue, yes we did help tim to send the photo's but he is learning very quickly on the computer and will probably send more when he has the time.
Love to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
