we arrived in Koh Phangan today, it was only a short boat trip from Koh Samui. We scanned the beach first for somewhere to stay but couldn't find anything cheap enough so we jumped in a taxi and it took us to the centre where we found a really nice place called 'Sea Breeze Bungalows' we checked into a bungalow (not on the beach, but has a great view of the sea). We then decided to head to the beach that we could see from our bungalow..............

Learnt a lesson today - never let Caroline take you on a 'walk'!! We got to a beach which wasn't the one we were looking for, so Caroline decided it would be a good idea to walk over these rocks, around a cove which would lead us to the beach we wanted. Half an hour in and we were both dripping in sweat, dehydrated and feeling like we were gonna collapse! By this point though there was no point in turning back so we kept going until we found these remote bungalows, climbed a thousand steps, trapsed down a deserted dirt track until we were finally back in the centre. Don't know how we made it back to where we are staying without passing out in the heat, but as soon as we got there we both stripped and jumped in the pool (it was warm!!) Never had we been soooo excited about a pool!

Tonight we are gonna check out the area (sticking to my directions!) and go for Tapas and wine. Planning on staying 5 nights so we can be here for the famous Full Moon Party!
