So I woke up at 9 this morning and breakfast is until 9.30, it's only toast and pancakes so I decided I'd skip it today!
Then I got talking to a girl called Catherine in my room, she arrived late last night, she's from Suffolk. She didn't want to go to breakfast on her own so I just threw some clothes on and went with her!
I got showered after breakfast! Catherine and I spend the day together. We left the hostel at 11 and didn't get back until 7.30!! I love days like this!! He's what happened on our adventurous day!!
We walked to Stampede Park which was pretty cool we got to see where the Stampede happens. I actually thought it took place on a street! Shows what I know! It would be really cool to be here for stampede and lots goes on at the park! Maybe one day!
We then walked to 17th avenue which was supposed to be full of cool shops and restaurants but it wasn't anything special!! We stopped and had lunch in a pub. I had fish and chips! Catherine ordered a ploughmans but they didn't have any Branson pickle so she ordered something different and the waitress sent out some chips and dip for her for the inconvenience! When it came to paying the waitress only gave me a bill and not Catherine! We thought it was strange as she got the chips and dip for free! We didn't know whether to leave or not! We ended up asking the waitress and she said Catherine didn't have to pay!
We found an underground 'market'.... Again not the kinda market I was looking for! It was more like a charity shop!!
We then walked to Princes Park and literally collapsed on the grass as we had walked so much!! Two drunk guys ended up befriending us! They gave us a beer! I didn't drink mine then they kept saying how beautiful we were and wanted to take us somewhere! Obviously we didn't go! They were pretty strange and kept asking us the same questions! We finally left them and walked around the park for a bit. We decided to go to Timmys and we couldn't find one anywhere!! Then we found 2 next to each other!!
We finally got back to the hostel at 7.30. We chilled in our room for a bit and I gave Catherine some packing tips!
We got a pizza from Safeway for dinner so cooked that it was pretty yummy.
Last night I played 9 ball with 2 Germans a Taiwanese guy and an English guy. I beat all of them and they were pretty impressed with my skills!!
I went downstairs tonight to play pool with the Taiwanese guy Alex and he asked what I was doing tomorrow and said he will come with me to Spruce Meadows!! I was like nooooo!!! I want to go on my own! So I was thinking how do I tell him this!! I just came out with it and said I'm really sorry but I want to go on my own and I think I broke his heart!! He looked so upset!! I felt so guilty but I'm really looking forward to spruce meadows (not sure if you'd guessed!!)
