Hey guys, so it's been about a week or two since I last updated (I think) so it's about time I got on it!
I spent another 3 nights in Sydney & met a fabulously funny girl called Lina there :) we went to the hostel's quiz night on the Wednesday and came 2nd, winning a 3 days safari trip in Noosa, which the lovely group let me have :D so excited!! Went out a few times with the hostel guys to a pretty cool bar called Side Bar, had a few amazing nights there :D by the time Saturday morning came I did NOT wanna leave Sydney, I'd fallen in love with the place despite the constant rain... the aquarium, wildlife world and sightseeing bus where - albeit cheesy - heaps of fun!
Saturday morning, I jolined the Oz Experience bus to go to Spot X (Surf Camp), chatted a bit to a few people in the group on the way and we all spent the night sitting around the (very poor) campfire and getting to know each. They had a limbo competition, which I photographed, and Chelsea (my fellow goon-drinker) won :D! The next day we had our surf lesson, needless to say I was horrifically bad, it was a laugh though :D I wasn't expecting to come out of it a pro-surfer haha!
Next we went to Byron Bya where we spent a good few nights playing drinking games and taking night-time walks along the beach :) nothing better in the world than that!! We walked to the most easterly point in Australia aswell as the lighthouse... and we came back the adventurous way - my Indo tour mates would have recognised my horrified tears when I was pointed at a cliff and told to climb it!! We also spent a day in Nimbin, waste of money for sure! But still I was told it was a "must-do" and I've now learned, you don't need to do all the "must-do"s!!
Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast was next, we headed out on the Gold Coast Backpackers party bus, which was really fun :) lots of dancing and free drinking, aswell as an embarrassing fall from me and the death of my loyal camera :( The next day me and Chelsea moved into an apartment in the same hostel, it was lush and so nice to relax and have our own kitchen/tv etc... can't beat the comforts of home, hey?! Spent 2 days relaxing either at the beach or in the apartment, and replaced my camera!
Spending a few days relaxing in my cousins home in the Gold Coast now, maybe take myself off to a theme park one day? Brisbane and Noosa in a few days! x
