We are currently situated in the heart of Phnom Penh, staying in a lovely hotel near the River. A very different climate to the last three weeks in Vietnam, which started off cool and got hotter as we travelled down the coast (It's now much hotter - about 35 degrees)!!! We're currently in Hanoi, Vietnam but obviously haven't updated you on our trip to Laos, which was amazing!! We didn't know what to expect of Laos but it was a really beautiful country. We started off in Luang Prabang, which is the old capital of Laos and was really beautiful. We were supposed to get a slow boat here but there were a few complications at the Thai/Laos border, so we decided to take an overnight bus, which got us there a day earlier than the boat....

Today is our final day in Chiang Mai. We've had a great time and really enjoyed the trekking. We left for the jungle at 9am on Saturday and stopped at a small village for supplies before heading to the elephants.
