Still sounds like you are having loads of fun on your travels, you have now been to lots of France we haven't yet.

I like your observations they are very true, and pretty much apart from the restaurants in the alps which do fondue and raclette and the fish/steak restaurants near my brother most places we have eaten in are pizza places.

The main roads (I think A roads) that are dual carriages but not toll roads are great to go on (that is if the payages are on N routes) if not swap the letter of the road!!

Glad you liked Dijon, your travels then to Annecy put you in the same area as where James' sisters live and we often go there. Are you heading to Geneva area at all? If so then Yvoire is worth a look, after I know you like other places I have suggested.

Enjoy the rest of your time, when James and Claire came back from the car rally they had been at for the weekend it turns out they were only 30 miles away from you when you broke down!!!
