So been very busy since my last blog. Travelled to Magnetic Island last Wednesday. It was really beautiful - right on the waterfront with a lovely beach, but not all that exciting. We rented some little moke cars and went across the island but not a lot to see!!!

We left on Saturday and travelled to Airlie Beach. Had a night out when we got here with cheap drinks for everyone on the bus. Sunday was the start of my Whitsundays sailing trip. I was on Wings a big catermaran with a hot tub! Have had an amazing couple of days sailing (or boating due to lack of wind) around the whitsunday islands (named by Captain Cook after the Whitsunday holiday). After lunch on the first day I gave scuba diving a go. It was very scary and all a bit rushed so only managed 5 minutes or so but will definitely try it again at some point if i get the chance. Breathing under water is very strange! Yesterday morning we headed straight for Whitehaven beach (see picture). The beach has been voted 2nd best in the world and it really is! The sand is really fine, the sea is clear and as it is on an island it is very quiet. Have some amazing pictures to follow when i remember to bring the necessary equipment to an internet cafe with me!

Got back to the boat for about half eleven, had some lunch and then did some snorkelling. Followed a turtle for about 5 mins and saw some amazing fish. We were in bed pretty early after a long day but then back up again at half 6 and in the water by 7 snorkelling. Saw a shark this time!!! Arrived back today at 11 and have spent the day with a couple of girls from the boat. Went and bought myself a couple of little dresses and some flip flops (they wear out fast when you live in them every day).

Out tonight for our after-boat party and then up at 7 tomorrow to head to Krombit Cattle Station. There may be some serious sleeping on the bus!
