Here we are finally off on our biggest adventure yet in 20 years. Plan is one week in Istanbul, then train to Plovdiv in Bulgaria, taking a steam train trip through the mountains to Bansko and across these to Melnik and maybe across the border into Greece?
Back into Bulgaria to the Capital Sofia and across to Veliko Tarnovo and the Romanian border. Travel a bit through Transylvania
then overnight train Bucharest to Istanbul with a couple of weeks seeing Turkey before…
