Hi Everyone
Saturday we got an early bus to Kuala Lumpur and arrived at lunch time we had to walk quite away to get to our hotel and it was soo hot and the city smelt quite bad! Once we had settled in we went across the road to Times Sqaure. Times Square is one of Kuala Lumpur's shopping centres/complexs. It was huge with floors and floors of shops, food halls, restaurants, cinemas, bowling alleys, rollercoasters, everything all under one roof it was huge! After a spot of budget shopping we had some macdonalds - (shocking we know!)
Yesterday we started the day with our included breakfast which consisted of fruit, coffee, peanut butter on toast and ... Dhal curry soup with naan bread! Never had a breakfast like that before! we had planned to get up early and go up the twin towers - The Patronas Towers but we need to get tickets between 8 and 10. Unfortunatly Kim thought she had lost her purse and so we never made it! The purse turned up 2 hours later so we then headed off to the Patronas Towers. Being stood underneath them was amazing! We walked around Meredaka square which had a mixture of colonial and arabic style builings which was really cool. We ended the day with a walk through China Town where the black market was manic!
This morning we had abit of a lie in and had another speciality breakfast before heading up to the Cameron Highlands, we asked reception to about a bus to get there and he said that it would be a bit squashed as it was the last two seats on the bus, what he actually meant was... 1 seat left in a van and you can sit on each others laps! we asked for a refund and went around the corner to the bus station and got an air conditioned VIP bus for the same price! once we had left the motor way the drive up through the highlands was really cool, twisting and turning through lush green dense forest.
We'll update you with the Highlands soon.
Love to all
