Well what can we say we have met our group - what a crowd!

All sorts of nationalities and all sorts of personalities! Everyone speaks English though which is good for us but feel really ignorant because some of them speak about 3 languages!

We arrived on Ilha Grande, an Island just off the coast of Brazil, it´s lush! The beaches are gorgeous and the scenery is amazing - still doesn´t feel real.

First night here we all went for a drink with the new crew and went for some grub. Brazil is more expensive than we thought it would be, but we have been told it gets cheaper on are way down.

Second day we went for a two and half hour hike through the forest to some quiet beaches, we ended up on a gorgeous surfing beach with white sand and blue sea, the waves were huge.

The hike was hard starting to have doubts about the Inca Trail but we will see how it goes. The forest was full of wildlife and had some amazing views - we´re not used to seeing small spider monkeys in the tree next to you!

That night we went to a restaurant and had a traditional Brazilian Dish, Fillet of fish with Shimps in some kind of sauce it was really nice.

Today Tom went for a walk and met up with us on the beach later, it was really hot, best day so far. Went for all you can eat Pizza bar last night on the island.

Off to Paraty tomorrow, taking a local bus which could be interesting?!
