En route to Kande we stopped off at a 'cultural highlight of Malawi' consisting of an extremely rickety bridge over a river - made solely of bamboo stems. The bridge has been standing for over 100 years but apparently is still as useable as the day it was built!!! Entry into Malawi was a humerous affair....with Mark finding a fellow Man U fan amongst the border officials... you'd think he'd let us off the fact we had completed our border cards in red pen - the colour of his team - but no - we had to rewrite them!
