Goy up early yoday 6:15 as we had booked a cheap taxi to take us to the Orangutan rehabilitaion centre,So after a lovley buffet breakfast ( Daneel ) our taxi driver picked us up for the hour long drive in time for the feeding time.These animals are wild but will come to the feeding points if they want to ,we was told most of the time they dont bother as they have enough fruit ect in the rainforest.However when we arrived i was amazed to see 2 of them just hanging around then the big one turned up on foot,what an amazing experience seeing these animals in their natural habit.With only a waist high fence and the Orangutans only 2 feet away with be a memory we wont forget,After a visit to the town centre and water front we headed back to the hotel to go and see the Sarawak village wich is 2 mins walk from the hotel.its 17 acres with lots of huts that the old locals used to live in and ended with a live show of old tradional dance.Feeling shattered by now we had a few drinks and orederd some local food to take away,The food here is very tasty a lot of noodles and rice but no pork as they are muslims.
