After an hour and 45 min flight with a really bad meal on board (that I chose with anchovies in it ) we arrived at Kuching in Borneo , We was created by the hotel staff who drove us the 1hr journey to the hotel Damai beach resort,It's far from town but right on the beach and surrounded by jungle makes you feel pretty isolated.The grounds are huge and after being upgraded to pool view room without a balcony we requested to change rooms . The view is fantastic !!! However the room is not the standees we payed for .But tired and hungry we stay put , only to realise wrongly had cards and no cash and The only machine here don't take foreign cards. So patiently we waited for 45 mins for the bus to town which in rush hour traffic took us an hour lol but only cost £4 .Finally got cash oh and vodka and ciggs so we are happy as its all still pretty cheap , I got chatting to the taxi man who's going to take us to the Orangutan reabillitation center tomoz for £35 instead of the £105 the hotel wanted , sampled some Malaysian noodle dish for£1 and it was lovley, early night tonight as we have to be up at 6-15 . It's 9pm here and it's finally stopped raining yet it's still red hot .
