Munchen, what a town. I have now thoroughly explored the lovely town and have studied up a great deal on the Wiesn/Octoberfest. The day I saw all the history and traditional costumes I forgot my camera, but man where they cool, lots of lederhosen and dirndls. (Family)I also found out the origin of all the noises that I make. It comes from Germany. I was watching these traditional dressed dancers put on a really great show and while dancing they would yell "IIIIIIIIIIIIIII,EEEEEEEEE,WOOOOOOOOOO, HOOOOOOOO" at random times just making noises as they danced, so that is where it comes from the noises are of German origin.
I went to the Wiesn four times and only drank 2 of those times. The "tents" are like buildings and are massive holding around six to eight thousand people. They serve 6.5 million liters of beer each year and the going rate is around 8.80 euros, so $10-11. I have photos of most of the tents I was able to walk through them all on Monday afternoon when nobody was in them cause it is a slow morning.
I will be leaving for Milano, Italy tomorrow and stay there until the 30th then to Venice for a week, and after that I am thinking Florence.
Much love, Eins, Zwei, g'suffa! Prost!
Kevin
PS
Greg- thank you so much for the "Wieswurst" suggestion I had it twice and my hosts made it for me both times, peal the skin and down the hatch, man what a great breakfast. I also looked into going to Rotenburg, but it was 100 euros, yikes, so I passed, sounds cool though. The steins I am really on the fence about, man it sounds good and they look good, but yeah I don't know. I also saw there are spots online to order when I get back so I may do that.
Denise- I looked for some cookbooks, but unless you have a German translator near by I don't think you could get the recipe right. They were all in German I did note the names so maybe you could find the English version online maybe at amazon or something. "so schmecht das oktober" by Manfred Schauer. "Deutschland, Spezialitatennkuche". "Bayerisch kochen" by company name GU. "Die echte bearish kucke" by Susanne Seethaler. "schul Koch buch, das original" Dr. Oetker
Jami- good to hear from ya. Grandma Hilde is my favorite surfer ever! She hands down was the best. Yes, the people really are the best part about all this. Hope all is well on the home front and the PH is still alive.

Mom I'm so glad you found out the origin of all the noises that you make. I will never forget the quiet, still day on your 21st birthday and the jumpers landing in silence until you could hear the wooooosh they made just before landing. Then it was your turn. You were not visible in the sky yet but everyone knew Kevin on his way! There was that unmistakable sound of Kevin: "IIIIIIIIIIIIIII,EEEEEEEEE,WOOOOOOOOOO, HOOOOOOOO" at random times just making noises as you descended from the sky. So the German in you gets credit for the noise! Enjoy Italy and let's if you find anything of yourself there. I love you. Stay Safe. Mom
