Hello Everyone,
Haven't really had chance to update the blog, have been to busy having fun...ha ha. Although we are both missing you guys, we are really enjoying our time out here. We have already reached Sydney and have stopped of at many beautiful places along the way. After an amazing time in Mallacoota we travelled further up the east coast arriving at a lovely beach called Pambula just north of Eden which is in New South Wales. You could feel the air temperature increase the further we drove up the coast. Due to all the travelling each day, we felt we needed to have a good rest and we spent the whole day lying on the beach soaking up the sun. Before we came away we was told that petrol stations we located regularly along the main roads. However we would be the unfortunate pair to find a stretch of road after Pambula that didn't have any. We had to coast down various hills as we watched our petrol gauge gradually begin to drop and the fuel light come on. We crapped ourselves and began to worry. Then on the horizon we saw a sign which looked like a fuel sign, "great we thought!!" when we arrived at the station it wasn't open, now we really began to worry. We decided to chance it and continue driving and fortunately we found a garage which was just shutting, thankfully they served us. After this we both felt the luck was on our side, since then we have been treating half a tank as empty. (Moms and Dads please don't worry)
Cronulla was a place that really stuck out for us. The surf was good for both of us and there are a few different beaches which both Me and Clare surfed. It's like a small city with loads of shops and lots of stuff to do. There are loads of fitness freaks, joggin, swimming, boxing and a lazy brummy couple that just sit there watching them.
We would be here forever if we commented on every place we have been to, it truely is an amazing country.
The campsites out here are ace most have swimming pools, barbecues, hot and cold showers, electric hook up etc...
Today we have had a fabulous day and been in Sydney all day. We visited the Opera House, Walked the Harbour Bridge, caught a Ferry to Manly Beach and then managed to get caught up in the 10 year Birthtday Mardi Gras (Gay Parade) we seen some YMCA gate crashers and some seriously dodgy outfits. One woman had her right boob hanging out, nipple and everything and as she turned, it almost wacked me in the face (Clare laughed).
Well we won't go on, but as always we send love to all our family and friends and hope the stresses of work, school and home aren't getting you down to much.
Lots of Love
Kevin and Clare
