Bondi Beach
We moved to Bondi on the 27th, got there in the evening and headed out with a few people from the hostel to a very cheap bar. Had a good night out and was nice to meet a few people travelling the same route. The hostel here is alot more chilled out and there is a good mix of people, some working others just travelling so we are getting plenty of tips and far too many ideas of how to spend the next few months.
We have spent our time on bondi mainly on the beach, playing with our biff bats, swimming and drinking (very cheap wine!!). Unfortunately board hire here is very expensive so we decided to leave the surfing untill we can buy a board nearer the end of our trip.
The weather has been brilliant, both of us have suffered sunburn. Merryn's was the funniest ahe now has a rather nice pattern on her back...Moral of the story dont apply suncream hungover!!
Met a couple of nice aussies on a night out who were kind enough the next day to show us around some of the areas we wouldnt have been able to reach without a car. Saw some nice beaches and good coastal roads. They actually had a dog called Cliff who was a bulls*** (bull terrier cross s***su)! They have just moved to west Oz so hopefully we might have some tour guides for our time over there.
One of the days we spent doing a coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee, this was awesome, along the whole route there are nice bays to stop at and the water is stunning. You can see corals from the cliff top. we stopped and chilled at soe of the bays and had a splash in the water.
