Greetings

Over the past year or so, after seeing so many incredibly low priced overseas trips advertised we decided to give one a whirl - and booked an 18-day tour of China for a jaw dropping $1999 AUD including airfares, hotels, many meals, bullet train ground transport and a 4 day Yangtze cruise.

Our itinerary takes in Xi'an, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Chongqing. So here we are, nearly one week in and I've finally got around to starting my travel blog.

Internet access in China can be restrictive, so we'll see how I get on publishing the blog and photos. Fingers crossed it'll all work. I've done a few short posts on Face Book, and am intending the blog as a supplement for those among our friends and families who are interested ... there are a few ... in reading more about our travels.
